I love designing logos and icons. I appreciate minimalist design that conveys a clear message or has a double-meaning. Read my blog post on perfect design to understand my philosophy when it comes to corporate logos.
These documents present all the key elements of a brand to maintain visual consistency in all future projects.
I won a logo contest to design all graphics for Jazz in June from 2007-2008. This included logos, advertisements, posters, billboards, t-shirts, etc.
2007 Jazz in June Logo
A version of this logo won the design contest. This final version featured an "Art Deco/Showtunes Motif." A harp was featured in the logo in honor of jazz-harpist Edmar Castañeda who headlined the event.
2008 Jazz in June Logo
I had the honor of designing the logo for the 25th annual event. This "silver" anniversary inspired a "broadway" and "music-come-to-life" vibe. The vector work featured sheet music of the jazz piece "Honeysuckle Rose" hence the floral flourishes present in the logo. 25 stars surround a silver flugelhorn in honor of event headliner Chuck Mangione.
Each year of Jazz in June required numerous graphics to be produced for print-ads, posters, t-shirts, billboards, etc.
Jazz in June Corporate Logo
While working for Jazz in June, I designed a new corporate logo for the organization which is still in use today.
I have 10+ years of experience creating print media such as magazines, catalogs, calendars, flyers, tri-fold brochures, and more. Please flip through the following digital publications that were created cover-to-cover by me in Adobe InDesign. I also have experience in QuarkXpress, Microsoft Publisher, and CorelDRAW.
I've designed many covers for books and DVD/CD tray inserts and labels for duplication.
I enjoy organizing graphics and information in a predetermined template.
